many对应的中文意思是“许多/很多”，表示数量较多的意思。
常与可数名词复数一起使用，但也可以作为不可数名词的量词，例如："There is too much salt in the soup. Can you add some more water?"（汤里盐太多了，能不能再加点水？）可以用"many"替换"too much"，改成："There are many salt in the soup. Can you add some more water?"（汤里有很多盐，能不能再加点水？）
